OpenAI and Anthropic both run support programs for open source maintenance. According to their official pages, each one covers a ChatGPT Pro or Claude Max 20x subscription, among other things, for free for a set period.

Thanks to my open source work, I got into both programs, so I’ll have ChatGPT Pro and Claude Max 20x for six months.
I’ve been doing code review and triage on pip lately, and these will probably be useful for that work.
I’m not sure I can use up the quota on both subscriptions, though. Still, I plan to run them without worrying about limits and figure out where each tool fits.
I think it’s quite welcome that OpenAI and Anthropic directly support the maintenance work of open source developers. My guess is this kind of support will help many open source developers keep their projects maintained and improving.
